Cave Land Adventure

Start off the day at Cueva Ventana "Window Cave", which sits atop a limestone or haystack mountain (mogote) with a majestic view that oversees the Rio Grande de Arecibo providing a wonderful and spectacular scene of the northern region of Puerto Rico. A stop for lunch at a local restaurant will let you experience our traditional Caribbean flavours right next to the Atlantic Ocean water. Moving on down the coastline we visit the popular Cueva del Indio “Indian Cave”, where you will see amazing petroglyphs from our native Taino Indian’s culture that predates Columbus’ arrival at the island in 1493. From there you could glance towards the east and enjoy the view of natural land bridges on our island northern shoreline or look toward the west and see a beautiful local beach with the Arecibo lighthouse at the end on the background.
